I hope we can

I like this video. A person shouldn’t choose a president based on a video. And I’m definitely not going to.
Most times I wish rhetoric and…well, politicking in general were left out of the mix - It’s hard enough to make a decision based on facts alone. But at the same time, I can appreciate some good old fashion propaganda (though I guess YouTube and viral video aren’t exactly old fashion channels). There’s a certain beauty in it. It’s compelling. It moves me.
If I vote for Obama (I ain’t tellin), it won’t be because of this video. But it’s still totally worth a watch:

I wish the UK elections were as interesting as the American ones, yours seem so much cooler than ours, with celebrities and everything!!
Also, is Ashley from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air famous in America? That’s so wierd, she doesn’t look any different from when she was really young!
p.s. great blog!
Lydia, thanks for the comment. I think the message of that video, simplistic as it may be, resonates so much with Americans because we are just desperate for a change. I’ve found this year’s elections particularly exciting as campaigners have started to embrace new media to reach the younger voters.
haha. I don’t know how ‘famous’ Ashley is, but she’s certainly recognizable for that role. I’m yet to meet someone my age who didn’t grow up watching (and can probably sing the whole theme song to) the Fresh Prince
